Came up with this question today. Realized it’s not something I’ve ever been asked, though it’s something that I wrestle with every day. It wasn’t until the past couple of years that I’ve been more proactive about combatting fear. I never really understood my random interests in things like learning improv acting, lifeguarding, or partner dancing. But when I look back, one thing remains true. They were all things I was scared of and never imagined myself doing. So I guess I’ve been practicing. To feel the fear and do it anyway. To prove to myself that I am stronger than I believe and I can overcome fear. So, my relationship with fear? It’s still a work in progress, but it’s getting a little bit better every day.
